Where I'm From:

Being an army brat, I'm from everywhere and nowhere.  I've lived in Washington (state and DC) but have only spotty recollections of both.  I spent most of my 'formative years' in Hawaii but moved to El Paso for my junior year of highschool and San Francisco for my senior year.  I spent the third decade of my life in California and the fourth in Missouri pursuing 15 years of 'higher education.'  I'd like to say that I'm done with my education, but when are we truly ever finished learning -and would we ever really want to be?

How I Spend My Free Time:
The majority of my free time is spent savoring the early/formative years with my daughter: craft and science projects, book writing projects, newspaper articles (my daughter is now a Junior Reporter for the Southeast Missourian), swimming, horseback riding, camping, roasting marshmallows, and, of course, reading to her, and listening to her read to me.

The Other Side of My Origins:
When I'm not busy (hah!) being a full time mommy, wife, home maker, part time physician, and author, I'm frantically working on my family history project: from Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett to Oliver Cromwell and an indian chief in the West Indes; from my great great great grandfather who fought against Napolean Bonaparte in The Battle of Waterloo and my great grandfather who worked as a harness maker in the Spanish-American war to my parents and their humble origins in rural Ohio.
